Journey gathers for JOY on the 4th weekend of each month to connect with the world around us.
JOY stands for Journey Outside Yourself. It's our way of regularly challenging ourselves to focus outward
as Jesus asks us to do, rather than focus inward which is human nature. This outward focus is achieved
through active mission work in Lakeland, Tennessee, surrounding areas, and eventually around the globe.
Join us for JOY Sunday, and you will experience just that - Life Changing JOY!
JOURNEY OUTSIDE YOURSELF
SEPTEMBER MISSION
Parks, gardens and zoos rely heavily on local volunteers to keep things up and running. In an effort to give back, we have offered to help the Botanic Gardens. Those who are interested in joining us for this service project will need to bring their gardening gloves.
If you have a Journey T-shirt, wear it! Children and adults are welcome to participate.
Afterwards, we will take the kids to the Ronald McDonald House for a photo opportunity with Ronald and to drop off the thousands of soda can tabs they have collected over the past several months!
